Helping to alleviate animal suffering

Burnie’s Foundation was established to make donations that will help alleviate animal suffering. We will make donations from our own funds and we will also raise funds from animal lovers who would like to contribute to the projects we support and who are confident in our ability to choose the most worthy projects deserving of their help. Donors to Burnie’s Foundation should be secure in the knowledge that Burnie’s projects will be respectful of their donations and will spend their money carefully in ways that will bring most benefit to the animals.

We look to help streamlined projects that are run in a businesslike, efficient manner where the results of our donations and how they improve animals’ lives are measurable. Good intentions alone are not enough for Burnie.

Burnie’s was inspired by the work of amazing charities all over the world like Animals Asia, The Retreat and REAN. Unencumbered by bureaucracy these very different charities alleviate animal suffering (and sometimes manage to replace it with love, joy, fun and happiness) and inspire others to do the same.

Our purpose is to help them and to encourage others to help them to alleviate more suffering. To continue their wonderful work on a larger scale than would have been possible without our help and to inspire other like-minded people to follow their example. In the coming months we look forward to showing you the results of Burnie’s first projects – examples of where animal suffering has been alleviated as a direct result of the donations we have made. We hope that seeing the benefits that result from our donations will encourage you to make donations of your own, which will enable us to look for more projects to help.
